Zach Aliotta grew up in the Suzuki method and has been teaching Suzuki violin for nine years. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.M. and in 2013 received a master’s in Suzuki pedagogy under the direction of Joanne Bath at East Carolina University.
With wide-ranging musical interests, Zach has studied and performed in a wide variety of genres and ensembles, from solo work to chamber groups and symphonies, and encompassing classical music, ethnic/folk styles, and beyond— including a touring rock band, a Cuban jazz ensemble, and a traditional Javanese gamelan.
Having spent several years working in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro public schools, Zach has experience working with children of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds and is committed to making Suzuki work for every child and family that wants to learn.
