TUITION

Tuition is based on $75 per hour of instruction. Lessons are taught in person, but may move to an online platform in case of inclement weather, teacher or student illness. One 15 week semester includes individual lessons, a quarterly studio class week & recital, and two make-up lesson weeks. Monthly tuition for September through May is the amount for 30 weeks of instruction divided into 9 equal monthly payments. In addition to the time your teacher spends directly with each student in the lesson, your tuition also pays for lesson planning, learning, and organizing the best possible ways to educate each student.

Individual lessons, per month (September – May)

• Non-refundable recital fee charged per student, $15/year to help with space rental & accompanist
• 30 minute lessons: $125
• 45 minute lessons: $187.50
• 60 minute lessons: $250

Individual lessons, per lesson (June-August)

• Tuition for lessons June-August is charged the hourly per lesson rate. Discounts-for regular weekly lessons only
• 5% off each additional family member enrolled
• 5% off lessons that conclude by 3:30pm weekdays (weekly students only)
• Free 30 minute lesson for each referral who enrolls for a session!

Adult students may be eligible for weekly or drop-in lessons

MISSED LESSONS

Two make up weeks are included per semester. These lessons are used first to off-set any teacher absences or inclement weather, and then for any student absences. Students simply attend at their usual day and time. No shows and canceled lessons with less than 24 hours notice not eligible for a credit. Unused make up credits expire at the beginning of each new academic year. Missed make up lessons are not rescheduled. Summer session lessons are billed per lessons so no make ups are available.

PAYMENTS

Payment is by automatic monthly draft. Any payment not received by the 10th of the month will be charged a $20.00 late fee. Credits are only issued if your teacher must miss a lesson and cannot reschedule; credits must be approved by the director. There will be no refunds for advance payments if a student stops lessons except in the case of major illness or major family emergency. Tuition is collected via monthly auto-pay.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

We encourage committing to lessons through a calendar year but we understand there are normal ebbs and flows when learning any skill. Should a student wish to pause or stop lessons, the following policies apply regardless of where we are in the school calendar. An email to both the director AND instructor is required to withdraw. Notifying only the instructor, non-attendance, and non-payment are not considered withdrawals.

• Students with less than 4 lessons: refund for all scheduled & prepaid classes or lessons after the date of withdrawal
• After the 4th scheduled lesson: a minimum of 30 days notice to school & instructor. Payment is still due for all lessons up to the withdrawal date (attended or non-attended). Students may continue lessons to cover what has already been paid, or balance held as a credit towards future lessons for a return to instruction at TMS or for another family member.

Parking & Safety

Children must be attended by an adult (their parent or caregiver) at all times. Parking is available in the lot directly behind the big yellow house and along Brenrose Circle, between Hillsborough Road and the Link. Parking is also available in the lot to our West at CWJ Heating and Air on Mondays-Thursdays after 4:30, Fridays after noon, and all day on Saturdays & Sundays.
